On May 27, 2025, Dr. Marek Muszynski was a guest of the Institute for Educational Quality Improvement (IQB, part of Humboldt University) in Berlin, Germany, where he gave a presentation entitled Using Large Language Models for Automatic Item Generation: Development and Validation on the Example of TIMSS Grade 4 at the Institute’s main research Colloquium.
The presentation summarized the research work in the project of the same title, which was funded by the IEA. Collaborators in the project were Hubert Plisiecki, Tomasz Żółtak and Artur Pokropek (all of the Department of Computational Social Sciences, IFIS PAN).
